This design has been inspired from an original Viking crucifix found in Jutland Denmark, dating from the early 11th Century. This very unique and distinctive crucifix shows the transition from the Vikings Pagan origins to the newly converted Christianity. The design incorporates both the Cristian cross and the Christ but in a traditional Viking design. The hands are nailed and he wears a crown but dressed in Viking attire.
