I wonder if it either was ever used or if someone may have taken the original hardware and had a new fat paddle made but never used it

There is crazing all over as shown in close up photos

Measures appx 4 1/2" long

Measures 9 1/2" to top of lid x 6 1/4" across

I believe these are by Reuben Hague as I have had several other plates from Crown Ducal which were signed by Hague himself
