Blue PolychromeTransferware Plate Embossed Lattice Border Scenic Cottage by a Lake Vintage Royal Cauldon England Wood & Sons Often in thought go upI love the embossed relief type border around this plate. It really sets it apart and beautifully frames the scene of two men, a boy and dog fishing at a lake near their cottage nestled below a mountain landscape. The glaze on this plate is a creamy color, reminding me of Wedgwood's early cream ware. It's got a lovely patina! The plate is by Royal Cauldon of Staffordshire England and dates to about the mid 1920's 40's. The blue transfer is highlighted
