It's well detailed and well made, with clear English hallmarks dating to 1975. It's made by Benjamin Harry Britton & Sons, a long established Birmingham goldsmith established in 1855. They started out making "gold guard and fancy chains," but by the 1960s has branched out into signet rings, gold crosses, and as a sign of changing fashions, tie clips.
