It's modelled in 9 karat rose gold and will have originally have been used as a bracelet clasp (the top part opens up)
WW1 Touch Wud Charm niello French control marks (eagle head)DATE: WW1, c. 1915 A rare original First World War period 'Tommy Touch Wud' good luck charm in the form of a smiley wooden face with two green agate cabochon eyes. These charms were often given to soldiers when leaving for war. The back of the charm shows 'Touch Wud' in high relief. It's arms and legs are crafted in yellow metal (rolled gold), circa 1915.
