Georgian Turquoise & Pearl Memorial Brooch turquoise in November 1828DATE: Georgian, c. 1800 A sweet Georgian cushion brooch dating from the early 19th century, circa 1800. It features a central glass locket compartment at present home to a woven lock of hair (removable) within a double halo of natural pearls and turquoise cabochons, the latter in the crimped settings popular at the time.
