Also, it has a little dial at the bottom marked "tilt" that lets the camera sit a little bit tilted on a table, for times when that's useful I guess. Honestly seems like a lot of engineering and manufacturing complexity for not a lot of payoff, but I'm not Canon, and there's probably a reason for that.
