Plants are happy in a shade garden although a bit of morning sun is perfectly fine the hot afternoon sun can be too punishing. The flowers buds as they open are tinged rosy pink and turn to blue. Pulmonarias prefer a moist, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Whilst they are reasonably drought tolerant, a consistently dry soil doesn't really give the best results so we find a layer
