The lid of this charming vintage powder box is embellished with a scene taken from Aurora: A Painting of the Coming Dawn by Guido Reni. The scene depicts Apollo in his horse drawn chariot which is flanked by the Horae (goddesses of the hours). Phosphorus, the god of the planet Venus is shown as the Morning Star. The light bringing Phosphorus bears a torch. On the far
