Antique Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma Pottery Bowl Imperial Figures Kizan 1890 Redo the top also in orangeA very fine antique Japanese Meiji period Satsuma pottery bowl, circa 1890. The bowl having a lobed rim and finely decorated & gilt to the outside with a 'thousand flowers' decoration, the inside of the bowl also with gilded and floral decoration. The interior of the bowl having two hand painted panels, one of bamboo and butterflies the other with the Imperial couple and three courtiers, the panels are very beautifully & skillfully executed.
