60’s Brown Silk Dress With Jacket By Arnold Scaasi black gold goldtone shown unclipped on a 36"-26"-36"This jacket dress by Canadian designer Arnold Scaasi was worn by Austine McDonnell Hearst (1920 1991), wife of William Randolph Hearst. It probably dates to the 1960s and has many hallmarks of being custom made for Mrs. Hearst. The ensemble comprises a brown silk faille jacket lined in purple silk and a matching dress. The jacket has 3 4 sleeves, and it closes with four large self covered buttons (note in the photos the pleated treatment on the sides
