1940s Venetian Black Velvet and Leather Bag vintage-shorts Fashion designer Christian Lacroix establishedA very fine black Soprarizzo velvet and brass hardware bag circa late 1940s to early 1950s. With exquisite craftsmanship and materials, it was almost certainly made in Venice and is possibly a very early example by Roberto di Camerino or Cesare Puccini; the bag is without a maker's mark. It is debossed with an intricate pattern that recalls the stained glass windows of grand churches. It features a large flap pocket on the outside, which closes with
