白や黒、ターコイズを基調とした、天然石の様な風合いを持つうつわを中心に、コンテンポラリーな作品を作陶する苫米地正樹。そんな彼がチャクラのために特別な鉢を作成してくれました。インディアンジュエリーに強い影響を受ける彼の作品は、釉薬と土の収縮の違いにより生まれるひび割れ『貫入（かんにゅう）』に墨を流し込むことで、トルコ石に見られる模様『スパイダーウェブ』の様な風合いを表現しています。今回出来上がった鉢は焼き物の表情豊かな質感をベースに岩のようなゴツゴツとした面を出し、側面の無作為なカッティング、苫米地氏らしい鮮やかなターコイズブルーが施されたモダンで洗練された至極の鉢です。鉢としてはもちろん単体でお部屋においてもインテリアやオブジェとしての芸術的な作品としてもお楽しみいただけます。底面には排水用の孔が空けられているので、水遣りの頻度を変えることで乾燥した状態・水分の多い状態など、植える植物の特性にも対応しやすい鉢となっています。贈り物としても喜ばれる、とても素敵なプロダクトです。
