Poster Nr. 10 | Wandteppich | Max Peiffer-Watenphul mühle A thoroughly French liaison –One of the most beautiful tapestries from the early Bauhaus period is the wall tapestry by Max Peiffer Watenphul. The composition of form and color contrasts shows the influence of Johannes Itten's teaching. Itten presented the gobelin as a gift to the Bauhaus Archive at its founding in Darmstadt in 1961. The colors for the poster print were determined based on the back of the gobelin, which is still only slightly faded. The poster shows a detail.
