Vintage Hocker Mezzadro von Achille und Pier Giacomo Castiglioni für Zanotta, verchromt Milchglas Airframe is David Chipperfield's visionThe Mezzadro stool by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni is a quiet break from the ordinary. Designed as a prototype in 1957 and manufactured by Zanotta since 1970, it is considered a key piece of Italian Radical Design. The seat shell quotes the tractor seat and sits via a large wing nut on a curved, chrome plated steel rod, supported by a wooden base. The construction flexes slightly and, despite hard materials, feels surprisingly comfortable.
