In 2001, after a change of ownership, Caperdonich came to an end and was closed. Forsyth, a coppersmith in the same town, now uses most of the former distillery site and had the original distillery buildings demolished in 2010. The former pot stills went to the Owl Distillery in Belgium, among others, and the washbacks to the Wolfburn
