Cumberland Educational Advancement Center & Community Center

Cumberland County – One of 53 sites along the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail®.  Formerly known as the Luther P. Jackson School.  Although there were one-room schoolhouses for the lower grades, there were no buildings available where African American students could be educated in the higher grades.  This location tells a story about how this was changed.
