Recreation Parks

The region is home to eight State (James River, Holliday Lake, High Bridge Trail, Sailor’s Creek Battlefield, Twin lakes, Staunton River Battlefield, Staunton River and Occoneechee) and two National Parks (Appomattox Court House and Petersburg National Battlefield). Each of these parks offer a unique experience rich in history and/or natural wonder.
