Waterways, Rivers, Lakes

Bodies of water are dispersed among Virginia Crossroads waterways and travel along many rivers and lakes within the area. The James River, the most historic of them all, either moves gently down the stream or vigorously over white-water rapids. Either way, they are great for soaking in the sunshine while peacefully listening to sounds of the river flowing by. Many lakes offer the same type of qualities but are more tailored for a vacation getaway. Buggs Island Lake, the largest lake in Virginia, offers over 800 miles of beautiful shoreline to enjoy with your family. Adventure is just waiting to happen.
