The Blackstone Arts and Crafts Festival is held annually in September. It features a large number of talented vendors that showcase all types of artistic efforts. There’s music for all ages, a parade of antique tractors, custom and restored cars on display, and barrel train rides for children.
Thousands of visitors view this spectacular sight each holiday season. The display is over 1,000 square feet of concentrated pure wonder featuring more than ten trains, with realistic dioramas that showcase nearly every type of scene imaginable. The famous Chicken Festival is held every year in June at Southside Electric Cooperative’s Hooper Park in Crewe, VA. A ticket will give you all-youcan-eat chicken and beverages while listening to some of the best music in Southside. While there, you might just run into a politician or two, too.
